As humans, we travel through life dealing with what may appear like running a constant marathon. We miss the connection with the now; in which mindfulness has become an action some must dedicate more effort to than is necessary. For some of us, it is difficult to navigate through life without feeling like we are drowning.
This causes us to lose focus on ourselves and our interests, and as a result, we fail to evolve as anticipated. Adversity will inevitably take over, but we must remain steadfast and committed to caring for ourselves.
Adversity can help define who we are, allowing us to grow and learn from the challenges. So, learning to step outside of your comfort zone while avoiding going through the motions will, in fact, allow you to evolve. During this period of discomfort, we learn to understand the importance of resilience and its connection to survival as humans. It takes navigating through muddy waters to swim in a clear pool.
Keep pushing through the hardship & rip off a new layer to reveal how evolution has impacted your life. Enjoy the journey while recognizing the different factors related to your personal growth, your identity as a person, and how it affects your life, mind, and overall health.
Pay close attention to the company you keep, as those around you will influence your decisions. Emulate those that are where you want to be, but do not let jealousy be part of the process. Don’t glorify a person because they are famous “celebrities”; do so because they are an example of how you see yourself in the future.
It’s never too late to become culturally educated about the world around you and abroad. Where you come from doesn’t define you as a person; your actions do. Madonna once said, “Beauty is where you find it!” So find your beauty and be who you were born to be. Do not conform to society’s ideals of what every person should be or look like.
Be who you are—unapologetically!
Respect those around you, the environment, and most importantly, yourself.
Simply….be you! 😉
